No Such Thing As A Perfect Moment
Commander Cody/Fem!Reader
Words: 2,059
Summary: It was embarrassing really, how everyone Cody interacted with could tell how he felt about you. All that was left for him to do was just admit it, but not everything goes according to plan.
Prompt: "is it cool that i said all that?" (Delicate, Taylor Swift)
Note: this is my contribution to @cloneficgiftexchange's song lyric exchange, which i ran! this fic is for @winniethewife, and when presented with the choice i had to pick the taylor swift song :) i thought the vibes of the prompt lended itself really well to a confession of love, so i hope you enjoy!!
Clone Troopers Masterlist
Cody was the marshal commander of the GAR, he was genetically engineered to be a powerful soldier and talented leader, and he had spent countless hours on the front lines of the war. Some of the situations he had found himself and his troops were nothing short of horrific, and he had a reputation for running headfirst at battle droids, both with and without a weapon. Point being, he could do anything he put his mind to.
Except apparently, ask you out on a date.
Waxer and Boil, at this point well aware of how their commander felt about the 212th’s auxiliary intelligence officer, tried their best to help, even if it sometimes felt like they were getting a little too much enjoyment at the sight of Cody’s lovestruck stuttering. But no matter how many times they tried to reassure him that you felt the same way, he never believed a word.
Now, with the war over and many of the regular dangers they faced each day a distant memory, Cody had made up his mind. There was no excuse anymore, he had to own his feelings and finally speak them out loud. If you didn’t return them, then he could put the matter to bed, but he had to say something.
The music in 79’s blared louder than usual, and the place was packed. Cheerful whoops and drunken laughter filled the space, with clones of all battalions celebrating the victory of the republic and their newfound freedom. There was still much work to be done to secure the best futures possible, but the bills already before the Galactic Senate were promising, and no one really wanted to worry about all that right now anyway.
You were squeezed in at the end of the 212th’s booth, your leg resting against Cody’s as you sipped on a brightly colored drink and listened to the story being told across the table. His men had been adamant that he sit next to you, and Cody was really starting to feel the effects of his little crush, likely due to the amount of liquor he had already consumed that night and the fact that the clothes you were wearing were a far cry from the simple and practical GAR-issued uniform he was used to seeing you in. As he stared intently at a burn mark on the table, the rest of the world faded out from Cody’s view, until he felt a soft tap to his leg.
“Is everything okay?” you asked, and he turned to see a concerned expression on your face. “Do you want to go somewhere quieter?”
His brain stopped for a moment. Was this really the chance he had to ask you out? Half drunk and sweatier than usual, he would not have chosen this out of all the times in the galaxy. He stared at you for longer than what might seem normal before snapping out of the trance and realizing that you probably expected an answer to your question. “No, I’m fine,” he said. “You don’t need to worry about me.”
That last part was meant to be reassuring, but he could see your face flicker with worry before you nodded in response. You didn’t push him any more, but he could have sworn he caught you glancing at him more often as the night progressed.
You left earlier than the rest of the squad that night, wanting to get some rest before a meeting you had the next morning, but Cody could almost still feel the way your leg rested against his as he and the rest of his troops stumbled back to the barracks hours later.
***
The next time he saw you, they were at a gala and you were wearing a dress, and Cody was genuinely worried that he had forgotten how to breathe. This dress was long, with a skirt that just barely grazed the floor as you moved, and it was a conscious effort on his part to keep his mouth closed. As much as he felt the true sacrifices made during the war could never truly be acknowledged in a Nabooian ballroom and that this was nothing more a useless show of frivolity, he was certainly enjoying the way you looked.
“Are you ever going to actually say something?” a voice cut into Cody’s thoughts, and he turned to see his general standing there with a judgemental expression on his face. “Or are you going to just stare at her forever and hope she develops the ability to telepathically communicate?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Cody said, trying desperately to save face. Was it that obvious how he felt about you?
“Come on Cody,” Obi-Wan said as he took a sip of his drink, a smile on his face as he watched his friend shift nervously. “If Anakin’s men can tell how smitted you are from halfway across the dance floor, then I think the secret is out. I honestly have no idea how she hasn’t noticed yet.”
“I’m just nervous,” Cody said, not wanting to play this game anymore with Rex. “Everyone keeps telling me that she feels the same, but what if they’re wrong? I made up my mind to say something, but no time ever feels like the right one, you know?”
Obi-Wan smiled. “I don’t think there will ever be the perfect time to say something,” he said kindly. “If by some stroke of unluck she doesn’t return your feelings, nothing bad is going to happen. But waiting forever thinking that the ‘right time’ is going to fall from the sky may only ensure your place on the sideline if she believes you are not interested.”
Cody sighed. His general was right. The last thing he would want is for you to move on because he wasn’t brave enough to ever tell you how he felt. There may never be a perfect time to do something like this, but he supposed there would be worse times than right now.
After finishing the drink in his hand, Cody walked across the ballroom and approached you as you spoke to a few senators. A smile immediately crossed your face as he caught your eye, and you had closed the distance between you and him moments later. “I’m so glad you’re here,” you said, wrapping your arms around him in a hug he never wanted to let go of. “Most senators are very nice, but their default topics of conversation are far from interesting.”
Cody laughed. “I’m glad I could be a help,” he said, as the wheels in his brain turned. Bolder than he usually would have been, he reached a hand out to you. “Would you like to dance with me?”
After you accepted his hand and allowed him to lead you to the floor, Cody concentrated heavily on his steps. The music guided his movement and you were an excellent dancer, so the last thing he wanted was to step on your feet. You must have been able to tell that he was unsure of himself, because you began to guide him as you danced.
This is your chance, the voice in his head proclaimed, and for once, he agreed. Maybe it was Obi-Wan’s words before, maybe it was the way you smiled as you twirled across the dancefloor, but Cody was never more ready to finally say something.
“Is everything okay?” you asked, pulling Cody once more from his own head.
But unlike last time you had asked him this, he found the words a few seconds later. “Of course,” he said. “I was actually-”
But before he could finish his sentence, another senator walked up to the two of you, and you could only shoot Cody an apologetic look as you were gently pulled away from him. So much for that moment, he thought sadly as he left the dance floor in search of something to drink.
***
Cody had abandoned the gala half an hour ago, and it was only an accident that he managed to stumble across a garden. The air was cool as he wandered, taking note of all the beautiful trees and flowers, some in full bloom now that it was dark outside. It was quiet and secluded, the perfect place for him to sit down and mull over every choice he made this evening. He expected that eventually others would find this place and ruin his solitude, but his plan was to head back to where they had been staying soon anyway.
He didn’t expect the person who found him to be you, but in hindsight he should have. “Do you mind if I sit here?”
“Finally got a chance to escape, huh?” He asked as you plopped down next to him, a teasing tone to his voice.
“Maker, they’re so boring,” you said. “But I guess I should be grateful that so many people are interested in what I have to say.”
Cody’s expression shifted, his curiosity piqued. “Why?”
“Oh right, you don’t know,” you responded. “I’ve been working with Senator Amidala on the new bill that has to do with you guys. My testimonies and stories from working with you all will hopefully allow us to provide consistent stipends and free housing for all the troops of the GAR.”
“That’s amazing.”
You smiled bashfully. “I wish I didn’t have to fight this hard for it though. Padmé thinks we’re close, and hopefully the number of senators who have sought me out this evening to talk about it means she’s right.”
“Well, if it means anything right now, I couldn’t be more grateful that you’re willing to fight for us, and I know every single of the men I work with feel the same way.”
“Thanks,” you said softly, leaning your head on his shoulder with a yawn. Cody’s breath hitched, and he desperately hoped you didn’t notice.
After a few beats of comfortable silence, you spoke again. “What did you want to tell me earlier?”
Without wasting another moment, Cody just spoke. No warmup, no preparation, he just couldn’t hold it in any longer. “How much you mean to me. Working with you was an experience that I won’t ever forget, but now that the war is over I don’t want to stop seeing you. I understand if you don’t feel the same way, but when I saw you in that dress tonight I forgot how to function for a moment, and my men have been bugging me about this for longer than I want to admit. I always wanted the perfect moment, but maybe that isn’t possible when you’re the only perfect thing in the entire galaxy.”
There. He had said it, bared his soul to you and finally admitted that the feelings he had were more than just ones of friendship. He took in a shaky breath after he finished speaking, and he watched your face change, hoping for some sign that things would be okay.
“Cody,” you said softly, hand reaching out to his.
But before you could speak the rest of your thoughts, it began to rain.
A few droplets quickly turned to a deluge, and the two of you turned towards the sky in shock. Your hand tightened around Cody’s as laughter bubbled from your lips and pulled him towards building. The sound of your shoes on the stone paths was drowned out by the rain, and you were still laughing when you finally made it to an awning.
The door back to the gala was right there, but neither of you made the move to go back inside. And when you leaned in to kiss him, Cody certainly didn’t complain.
No more words were spoken, but the communication was effortless. His hands rested on your hips as yours wrapped around his neck, and it didn’t matter that some of the rainwater was making it through the gaps in the awning and still falling on your heads.
When you finally broke apart, your face remained close to his. “I couldn’t think of a more eloquent answer, I hope that’s alright.”
“Cyare, I think that was the best possible answer you could have given,” he responded, laughing as he leaned in to kiss you once more.
Maybe there was no such thing as a perfect moment, but this was pretty damn near close.

the first taste - prologue
pairing: Vampire! Lewis Hamilton x black!OC 'Nyrah'
↳ The first impression is usually the most important...
wordcount: 1.2k
warnings: rpf-au, dark romance, infidelity, age gap, dubcon (mind-manipulation), alcohol mention, teasing, going home with a stranger!!! (not a very smart idea irl), teasing, biting, allusion to smut
1:34 AM - New York City • September 14th, 2024
Hands on her body completely overwhelmed her senses, clouding her judgment with intense feelings she’d never felt before. Alcohol ran its course through her system, loosening her up in ways she’d been craving for far too long–a faux sense of freedom as this stranger began to pick and pull her apart.
The cold wall against her back sent a shock down her spine, paralyzing her in the sweetest way. A hand slipped itself behind the arch with an unyielding grasp, keeping their bodies glued together in the dark hallway. Music vibrated through the walls from the ongoing party, muffled now from where they stood. All thoughts of Wesley were freed from her mind, the suffocating bonds of their relationship no longer plaguing her every move.
“Tell me what you need.”
His words were soft, gentle even, but demanding, adamant. She had no other option but to surrender, hands clasped onto his broad shoulders as if they were the only things keeping her from falling down to the frigid concrete. Eyelashes fluttered shut as she felt cold lips against her neck, pressing one, two, three hungry kisses along the warm flesh. He made his way to her collarbone, only teasing the skin with the ghost of his lips.
When she pulled back, her eyes found his, dark and obscure– she yearned to uncover the origin of the shadows which consumed them. She could see them etched into each line drawn across and sketched into his face. His bronze skin shone in the dark, muscles sculpted onto nearly every surface of his body as he caged her in against the wall.
He repeated his question, this time as a low whisper as he rested his forehead against her own. His eyes were closed for a moment, as a slightly pained expression grew on his face. She watched, observing the way his soft, pink lips moved as he spoke the five words. She couldn’t tell if she was in a trance, or if the intensity of the situation had everything feeling slower, but it felt as though they were stuck in time.
Neither of them moved for what felt like hours, cemented in their positions as their gazes remained on the other. Her heart loudly thumped in her chest as she tried to conceive an intelligible response. She felt compelled to simply tell him that she just needed him and his touch, but her mouth wouldn’t allow her to form the words.
A sudden laugh and the slam of a door down the hall broke them out of this stupor, and almost just as quickly as she was placed against the wall, she was pulled away from it. He readjusted her short black dress before tucking her body into his side, guiding her down toward the opposite end of the hall.
She was promptly whisked away without a chance to second guess it all.
“Come with me for the night?”
It was spoken more like a statement than a question and when they finally stopped moving, she looked up to meet his gaze once again. The light from the lampposts nearby twinkled in his deep brown orbs, which seemingly began to glow as they peered down at her. They were captivating, pulling her in further and further the longer she stared. With the blink of an eye, the radiance was gone.
“I’ll go with you.”
In an instant, a black Lincoln pulled up in front of the pair, an usher quickly stepping out and guiding them inside before whisking them far away from the city.
45 minutes later….
A gasp escaped her lips as she found herself pinned against the black satin sheets. Soft, teasing kisses were placed down her sternum as each of his hands kept her arms held out to the side. Her dress was now strewn across the floor somewhere, no longer hiding the risqué plum tinted bra and panty set she decided to wear underneath.
He watched her squirm under his grasp in the dimly lit room, finding great pleasure in the way she wanted to both escape from his teasing and ask for more. A smirk formed across his plump lips before he pressed them to the skin below her belly button. His teeth quickly sunk into the soft skin there, causing her to hiss and whine underneath him before he left a final kiss on the same tender spot.
Her scent was strong, intoxicating, even beneath the perfume she’d sprayed on hours ago, and he couldn’t hold back the slight growl that rumbled through his chest as he took in her essence.
Releasing her arms, he came back up to meet her lips with his once more, greedily sighing into her mouth. Needy hands found his arms, grasping the muscles with a fervor that hasn’t inhabited her body in months. Her hips bucked up, craving the touch of this stranger whose bed she couldn’t see herself leaving anytime soon.
“God…” She mindlessly whispered against his mouth, pulling him in tighter onto her body while she attempted to seek out a bit of soothing friction between her thighs.
He slipped an arm under the arch in her back, pulling her warm body closer to him. His other hand found use as it crept up to her jaw, gently tilting her head so her gaze would remain frozen on his. She could feel the cold metal from the three rings on his fingers.
“Is there something you want from me, sweetheart?”
Her lips fell open as her mind searched for a response, again blanking and unable to find the words to express what she needed. His eyes scanned her face, a dark, hungry look growing within them as he fought the urge to grind down into her. She nodded with a pout, the sexual frustration becoming almost too much to handle.
The tall wax candles surrounding them continued to drip down, melting down into their new forms atop the nightstands. His home was silent, surrounded by nothing other than trees on his large plot of land. The only noises to be heard came from a classical piano record faintly playing from downstairs, and the desperate sounds emanating from the two bodies on the king-sized mattress.
“What do you need, love?”
He could read the desire in her eyes, the aching spreading across her entire body, but he wouldn’t give in until she could tell him. He knew he had to hold back, having already slipped earlier in the night–he didn’t want to do it again. He couldn't do it again. It needed to be her decision, fully this time.
“Please…”
He ducked down and she turned her head, her lips grazing his right ear and nearly causing him to lose every ounce of self-control he had left. It had been ages since he had someone inside of his home, let alone practically naked in his bed, so he was understandably anxious about this little rendezvous of theirs going wrong. Patience and discipline had always been his strengths, then and now, but ever since he laid eyes on this woman in that dark nightclub only a couple hours ago, those strengths began to dissipate.
“Please what?”
She shuddered at the raspiness in his voice, the tingling throughout her body becoming unbearable. Every inch of her skin touching his felt as though it had been set aflame and she itched for the fire to be put out, over and over again.
"Please, I want to be yours tonight...use me."

money power glory| coriolanus snow
pairing: coriolanus snow x fem!reader
in which: coriolanus, your classmate since forever, keeps eying you from across the academy ball. while you talked to him daily, in class and whatnot, the two of you were merely acquaintances. until now.
warnings: kind of stalker-y coriolanus snow, but not too bad. other than that nothing
wc: 1.7k
au: snows never lost their money,
the academy ball was the event of the year. funded by mr. strabo plinth, it was always extravagant. and this being you senior year at the academy, you weren't going to let yourself down.
you decided on a very sparkly, floor length gown, that shimmered with each movement. it included a very high slit that ended just above your thigh. you decided on strappy heels that sparkled just as much as your dress. your hair was half up half down, with a white bow securing the upper portion.
this year, you decided you weren't going to commit to a date. you had gone with different people over the years, but being free from a date allowed you to dance with anyone you wanted, and you liked that freedom.
the ball was always held at the swan house. it really had only started ten years ago when the war ended, but with the elegant decor and abundant flowers, you would have never known that a war was not far gone.
when you arrived at the ball, your driver helped you step out. there were many lights on, and you could hear the chatter and the music from outside. you weren't technically late, as there wasn't a formal start time, but you certainly weren't early.
when you walked in, you took in your surroundings. the dim lights, the slow music, the avoxes walking around with trays of hors d'oeuvres. the entryway had a coat check, and a seating arrangement chart, though no one was seated for too long. anyone at any given time was either dancing, chatting, or hooking up.
however, you made your way to your seat anyways, allowing you to put your bag down and have a place to come home too. then, you looked around for someone to talk to. eventually, you laid eyes on sejanus plinth, your classmate. you made your way over with a smile on your face. on the way there, you were offered a glass of champagne, and took it gladly.
"enjoying the party?" you snuck up on him. he looked over at you, breaking him out of his people-watching trance. you took a sip of your champagne.
"hardly. these extravagant parties shouldn't even be happening." you always noticed that sejanus had something to say.
"and why's that?" you asked.
"because out in the districts.." you rolled you eyes, he always seemed to mange to bring this up. "...they have nothing, not even flowers. and look at us, using them in our drinks as a garnish." he gestured to the drink in his hand, a flower floating atop it.
"c'mon sejanus, it's our senior year. you need to enjoy this party at least once." he scoffed. you looked at him, then out of your peripheral vision, your eyes set on a boy, staring over at you from the other wall.
you recognized him as your classmate, coriolanus snow. his head was slightly higher, and he seemed to be looking down at you. you flashed a closed mouth smile, not really sure what to do. he didn't return it, only lowered his head for a brief moment.
"maybe you're right. but being capitol is going to kill me." he replied. you looked back at him again.
"you know that you'd have a higher chance of dying in the districts, right?" you joked. you realized it may be a little insensitive. "i'm sorry."
"it's alright. don't worry. go enjoy the ball. i can see i'm being a mood killer." he said. you nodded, tapped him on his arm, and walked away.
you didn't get far before festus creed approached you. he was the certified asshole of your class. you rolled your eyes before he could even talk to you.
"need a dance partner?" he asked. he took your hand
"i'll find a different dance partner." you tugged your hand out of his grasp. "go find some girl to hookup with."
"i'll do that later. for now, as our last year, dance with me." he moved closer. " you felt bad for him, having to act like this to get any attention.
"you get one dance." he made a fist with his hand and cheered in the air. he escorted you to the dance floor. you reluctantly took his hand, and danced with him. you could tell he was really taking in the moment. this was not what you wanted to spend your time doing. you waltzed with him for a moment, constantly having to position his hand where you thought acceptable.
"i'll take her now, festus." you heard behind you. you saw festus gain a look of annoyance. he dropped you and walked away. then, you saw coriolanus snow. he took your hand, placed a hand on your back, and began to dance with you, picking up the same rhythm as you had with festus.
"hello." you said. for some reason, you weren't even half as reluctant to dance with him. must be the fact he rescued you from festus.
"i could tell he was annoying you." he commented. he was definitely right.
"thanks for rescuing me." you replied back. he raised one side of his mouth into what could almost be seen as a smirk.
"you know, i couldn't help but notice you have only spoke to men all night. trying to make something out of your last ball?" he asked.
"in my defense, two of them trapped me into conversation. you being one of them." you sarcastically replied.
"you don't want to talk to me just say the word, doll." you couldn't help but get flustered at his comment. he seemed to have a gentleman like attitude to him, which you hadn't noticed until today.
"how'd you get festus to listen to you? he listens to no one." you were genuinely curious to know how he managed to get festus away from you.
"he knows better than to not. i beat him up in 9th grade, got me a two week suspension." he responded. you were learning new things about him with each question and answer.
"i never knew that."
"there's a lot about me you don't know. but i'll tell you anything you want to know." now, he wasn't looking at you, but up around you, at your surroundings. "people are looking at us." he commented. looking past him, you noticed his statement was completely true. you could point out at least ten girls with a jealous rage on their face. you knew coryo was not very committal, but he didn't need to be. all girls wanted was one night with him.
"i wonder why. i'm pretty sure i'm the only girl in our grade you haven't slept with."
"you're wrong." he replied. "i'm not as much as a dick as you think i am." he continued. you glanced up at coryo, who was now looking down at you again. you couldn't help but get a fluttery feeling in your stomach. a feeling you hadn't got in a long time.
"i want to talk to you. and not here, outside the ballroom." he nodded at you. then he placed his hand on your back and escorted you out of the ballroom. you heard girls whisper around you, you assumed they thought you were leaving to go hook up with him. you just scoffed.
when the two of you made your way to the entryway, next to one half of the grand staircase.
"look. i've been seeing you eye me like a stalker for the past few weeks, and now you come and dance with me? what's going on?" you asked.
"i have been. less noticeably in prior years than more recently. i know that soon, we are going to university, and anything could happen there. but i've been looking at you." he noticed how creepy that sounded just as soon as you did. "i'm sorry, that sounds creepy." you nodded quickly.
"yeah, it does. look, if you just want to hook up with me just say that." you had assumed that's what he was getting at. with his current reputation, you didn't think anything more.
"no. i don't just want to hook up with you. but i won't deny the fact that your the most beautiful woman i've ever seen, and i have to say something now before it's too late." you blushed more than before. could you really believe what he was saying?
"oh, wow, thanks. y'know, you're much more of a gentleman than i thought you were." you added. he finally smiled.
"anyway, i just wanted to say something, before it was too late." he seemed defeated that you hadn't said much more. but you took a moment to think.
this was coriolanus snow. the son of one of the most famed generals in the war. coriolanus snow, the boy with the highest grades in the class, the top contender for the plinth prize. not like he needed it. this was the coriolanus snow that had just confessed everything to you. and maybe that was what you liked. you felt like you had power over him.
"coryo," you saw him melt a little at you sounding his name. you repeated. "coryo, i-" you weren't sure how to tell him you were willing to take a chance on him.
"just kiss me." was all you could get out. he made no hesitation in following your order. you saw a smile on his face. he immediately crashed his lips into yours, with an urge to make up for the years he had been admiring you. you didn't feel tense anymore, you just felt bliss. "coryo-" was all you could get out in-between the kisses.
you couldn't believe what was happening. you promised yourself you wouldn't give in to anyone tonight, but you just couldn't resist.
when he finally released you, you looked up at him. then, you were silent for a minute. you thought. clearly he wanted more than one night with you. and his family was powerful. and rich. and if you actually managed to get more than one night with coriolanus snow, you would be glorified. maybe he'd treat you right. besides, it was senior year. if there was any time to take a chance on him, it was now.
he was clearly waiting for you to say something. instead, you pulled him back into another kiss.

Destined Threads ~ Part Two
Part 2/2 | Part One
Red thread of fate au
Sanji stood at the top of the stairs of the Going Merry, calmly smoking a cigarette with a gentle smile on his face. The sound of the wind whistling around him and the smell of the seawater reminded him that he was now a pirate. A free man. He looked down at his hand and flexed the little pinky finger where the red thread remained. He felt a rush of excitement as he pondered what lay ahead for him. He couldn't shake the hope that he would eventually come across you while sailing the seas.
As he thought, he couldn’t help but look up at the sky, the clear blue skies making him happy as he thought about the future. “One day, I will find you, my darling,” he thought. Thinking about the possibility of meeting you made his heart flutter. His smile grew as the thought of finally meeting you filled his head. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, letting the salty sea air fill his lungs. It was time for him to start searching the seas. He could feel it. He could feel your presence out there and knew you were also waiting on him. He would find you or die trying.
After embarking on countless thrilling adventures, sharing joyous moments, and overcoming heart-wrenching challenges alongside his loyal crew, his family, Sanji eventually found himself in the land of Wano. The streets bustled with people and energy, alive with the sound of music pouring out from nearby bars and food stalls, the contagious laughter of people echoing through the air. It was a beautiful sight as the celebration of the downfall of Kaido and Orochi took place. The night sky was now clear and full of stars. Sanji strolled through the night, accompanied by Luffy, Zoro, and Usopp, sharing laughter as they walked down the street.
You also walked with your friends down the busy street with a smile, watching people celebrate the liberation of Wano. It was a time to drink, eat, and be happy after 20 years of darkness. As you looked around, you noticed a couple strolling hand in hand, which made your expression falter slightly. You couldn't help but feel a twinge of envy creeping into your heart. However, you shook your head and swiftly pulled yourself out of your trance. You thought that now that the land of Wano would be open, you might finally have a chance to find him.
Sanji found himself smiling as he observed the people of Wano revelling in their newfound freedom after Kaido's downfall. However, his smile faded abruptly when he noticed a couple, hand in hand, strolling by. It was a brief sight, but it was enough to make Sanji feel a familiar sadness. Seeing the happy couple holding hands made him think about his loneliness as he looked down at his little finger. He quickly forced his expression back to his usual happy-go-lucky expression; he didn’t want the others to notice his melancholy moment. He pushed the feeling aside and continued to follow the others.
You continued to walk, enjoying the festival with your friends despite the pang of sadness in your heart. You looked down at your little finger with a sad smile but still held out hope as you sighed and turned to your friends. They laughed and smiled as they tried to drag you to a festival game. “Cheer up, y/n! Tonight is a night of celebration. Stop looking so gloomy,” your friend chirped, pulling you with her.
“Oh, come on, I'm not being gloomy!” You laugh in protest as you let your friend pull you along. “Yes, you are. You've been sulking every time you see a happy couple,” She scoffs playfully. “Now, come on and help us win some prizes.”
As Luffy, Zoro, and Usopp happily chatted, Sanji couldn’t help but feel his thoughts becoming too loud. He couldn’t focus on the conversation; his mind was elsewhere. He couldn’t stop his thoughts from wandering into that lonely place. He could tell he was starting to frown again, but just before he could snap out of it and put on his happy appearance for the others, the sound of a girl’s voice pulled his attention.
The girl's voice jolted Sanji back to reality, prompting him to shift his focus towards its source. He cast a curious glance around the area and spotted you. The sight of you instantly pulled a gasp out of him. With his eyes locked on you, his mind went blank, and a warm blush spread across his cheeks. Sanji was instantly enamored. His cheeks began to grow warmer as his thoughts raced. As Luffy and the others continued their conversation, Sanji completely zoned out. The moment he saw you, he was left breathless, stunned for a brief moment.
Your friend let out a frustrated groan after missing the target several times. "This game is totally rigged!" She complained. “Hand it over,” you said with a smirk as you took the gun from her. "Just watch and learn.” You lined up your shot, and after taking two attempts, you skillfully hit the bullseye.
Sanji watched you closely; his gaze fixated on your every move. He couldn’t help but feel his heart race as he watched you with admiration. After hitting the target with just two shots, he gasped in amazement at your skill and couldn’t help but smile at your victory. After celebrating your victory joyfully, you happily accepted a prize: a charming plush brown bear, all with a smile on your face. “She’s perfect,” he mumbled, entirely entranced by you.
The sound of your cheerful giggle and laughter made Sanji’s heart sing. He couldn’t take his eyes off you as you happily celebrated your win. You were absolutely mesmerizing and beautiful. He found himself falling for you with each passing moment. Your smile, your laughter, and the way you carried yourself captivated him, drawing him even deeper under your spell. He was so disoriented that he didn't even realize his little finger twitching involuntarily.
You started teasing your friend with a triumphant smile, holding up your prize, "See who's gloomy now-" your words trailed off as you locked eyes with a blond man standing in the crowd.
Sanji felt as if time stood still when his eyes locked with yours. His heart seemed to skip several beats as he looked at you, feeling a rush of emotions washing over him. Sanji was no stranger to being infatuated with women, but at that moment, he thought, "So this is what they mean by love at first sight."
As he grappled to gather his thoughts, Sanji's eyes widened as he became aware of something peculiar. His little finger was twitching, almost as if attempting to communicate with him. It was almost like a spark, a sign of something new and unexplainable. It felt as though the thread sensed your presence, wanting to draw him closer to you.
As your words faded away, you found yourself unable to look away from the blond man standing there. He seemed familiar as if you had seen him somewhere before. You felt your little finger twitch. The string around your finger felt as if it was tugging you, like a magnet pulling you in, and at that moment, you just knew. You wordlessly handed the plush bear to your friend and headed over to him without saying a word.
Sanji observed as you handed the plush to your friend and began to walk towards him, causing his breath to catch in his throat. The string on his little finger seemed to be tugging him forward as if it also wished for him to move in your direction. Like it was leading him to you, he was experiencing a whirlwind of emotions - a blend of excitement, relief, and nervousness all rolled into one. A voice in his head urged, "Don't just stand there, idiot." He struggled to swallow as he started walking through the crowd, never once taking his eyes off you. It seemed like nothing else in the world existed for him, only you. He was entirely overwhelmed by the flood of emotions rushing through his mind. His heart and mind were on the verge of bursting at the mere sight of you. He had to make contact with you, reach out, and touch you to reassure himself that you were real.
Your pace quickened with excitement as you were sure it was him. It just had to be. You noticed a red thread wrapped around his pinky finger as you approached him. Your eyes sparkled with confirmation, and you quickened your pace even more. It was definitely him!
Seeing you rush forward, Sanji also felt a surge of urgency to reach you. His thoughts raced as he considered his next words and actions. He was on the verge of reaching you, so close that he could almost touch you.
You practically threw your arms around his shoulders when you reached him, chuckling cheerfully in disbelief at the fact that he was there. Right there, after all these years, you finally found him—your soulmate.
As your arms wrapped around his shoulders, he instinctively wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you close. It was as if all time had stopped, and it was just the two of you in this moment. He felt overwhelming joy and relief wash over him as he held you close. It was everything he had ever hoped for and more. At that moment, he knew he was right where he was supposed to be.
"It's you," you whispered, breathless, as you leaned back with a sunny smile to meet his gaze. Your mind was racing as your eyes scanned his face, taking in all the details. He was cute. No, he was handsome. You lifted your hand to sweep aside the hair covering his eye. His eyebrows had a charming curl, which prompted a soft chuckle of admiration to escape your lips. “Cute~”
As you spoke, Sanji felt a warm blush spread across his cheeks. Your voice was like music to his ears, and when you called him "cute," it made his stomach do somersaults. As you brushed his hair away, he couldn't help but smile warmly and nervously at you. "You're more beautiful than I could have ever imagined," he said softly, his voice full of adoration. He was utterly captivated by you, wishing the moment could stretch into eternity. As you released your embrace from around his neck, his hand slowly found yours, and he gazed at the string tied around your little finger. It was the string that linked him to you. He couldn't believe that this was real. His soulmate was standing right in front of him. He wanted to say so many things to you, but words failed him.
His thumb gently caressed the back of your hand as he held it. He felt like he was dreaming. Or maybe he had died and gone to heaven, and this was his reward for all his life's hardships. No, he could feel your warmth through his fingertips. This was real. You were real. His racing thoughts gradually subsided as he began to grasp the reality of the situation. He finally said the one thing that had been on my mind since the moment I laid eyes on you, “I finally found you.”
You found it difficult to look away from him as you struggled to contain your excitement. You were eager to connect with him and discover everything about him. After all those years of dreaming, it felt surreal that he was finally here, standing right in front of you. “M-my name is y/n, by the way”, you exclaimed, starting to feel a little shy now.
“Y/n…” Sanji repeated your name almost dreamily, savouring the way it sounded. It was a beautiful name for a beautiful woman, he thought. He couldn't help but feel like the luckiest man alive as you smiled back at him, completely enchanting him. The sheer breathlessness he felt around you caused him to stumble over his words. “I-I’m Sanji,” he lifted your hand to his lips and softly kissed your knuckles in a tender and sweet gesture. The sensation of your skin against his caused a wave of warmth to wash over him, leaving him feeling slightly lightheaded. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, y/n."
The soft tone of his voice as he said your name made your heart flutter in a way you never thought was possible. The sincerity in his eyes was enough to make your knees weak. You couldn’t help but smile in response, your heart swelling with happiness. “Sanji…” You repeated his name, savoring every syllable like it was a sweet treat.
As his name echoed from your lips, Sanji's heart overflowed with love. He adored the way you said it, the way your voice seemed to wrap around the syllables with a gentle caress. He could listen to you say his name on repeat and never grow tired of it. His gaze softened as he reached up and cupped your face with one hand, his thumb gently tracing the contour of your cheek. "I’ve been thinking about you since I was a child. I feel like I've known you my whole life already."
His voice was as soothing as a melody, sending a delightful shiver down your spine. You savoured his touch, basking in the warmth of his hand on your cheek and the gentle caress of his thumb against your skin, feeling a sense of complete contentment. "I feel the same way,” you spoke softly. Your words were a mere whisper, but they held the weight of a thousand unspoken thoughts.
Sanji felt his heart skip another beat at your words, his thumb involuntarily tracing small circles on your cheek. “It feels like I'm dreaming," he murmured, his voice tinged with amazement and disbelief. "But if it were a dream, it wouldn't have this much colour.” He couldn't help but feel relieved and at ease as he held you close. For the first time in a long time, he felt truly alive.
You were so struck by how incredibly sweet and romantic he was. He seemed absolutely perfect. You suddenly took his hand with a cheerful smile, intertwining your fingers with his. “Come with me.” You guided him away from the bustling festival street and made your way to a quieter spot.
Sanji's heart raced as you took his hand and led the way, your fingers intertwining with his in a perfect fit. He was filled with excitement as he trailed behind you, captivated by the graceful way you moved. The way you walked and turned to look back at him with a sunny smile. Every little detail sent a shiver of pleasure through him. He experienced a comforting feeling as he gently held your hand and obediently followed you without hesitation. “Lead the way, beautiful.” He smiled gently, feeling his heart race with anticipation.
You flashed a playful smile at him and guided him to the spot you had in mind. “Are you always this charming?”
As you turned back with a soft smile and playful sparkle in your eyes, Sanji’s heart leapt. He was utterly smitten by you, and every little thing you did made him fall even deeper under your spell. A smile spread across his face as he chuckled softly, his cheeks flushed pink. “Only for you, my love,” he teased, his tone light and flirtatious.
At last, you arrived at a quiet area overlooking the town. Sanji's eyes widened as he absorbed the scenery. Away from the bustling festival, the gentle light of the full moon seeped through the trees, enveloping the surroundings in a soft, romantic glow. The ground was scattered with a few wildflowers, their petals gently swaying in the soft breeze. It was an ideal spot for a romantic interlude. As you gazed at the city and the night sky, Sanji's eyes landed on your face, brimming with admiration and affection. His eyes followed your stare down to the city below, where he watched the distant lights of the festival dancing in the night.
You look over the city and the night sky, taking in view. “My friends are probably confused as to why I rushed off ” You let out a sheepish chuckle before turning to look at him. “But it was worth it.”
When you turned to look back at him with that radiant smile, he felt his knees go weak. “They will understand," he replied softly, stepping closer to you. "I'll take the blame if they get upset.
You looked up at him and smiled as he tenderly tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. “You're…you’re so…” You attempt to find the perfect words to portray him, but everything you thought of fell short. As you searched for the right words to describe him, Sanji couldn't help but feel a surge of affection. He gently reached out and took your hand, his thumb softly tracing circles on the back of your hand.
"You don't need to find the right words," he said softly, his voice filled with a warmth that matched the night air. "Just being here with you is enough."
“Where have you been my whole life?” You murmured your thoughts out loud. It was really starting to sink in, the whole idea of finding your soulmate, and it was bringing up a whirlwind of emotions.
Sanji couldn't shake the feeling of longing and regret for not being there for you all this time. He drew you close, enveloping you in a warm embrace, inhaling the delicate fragrance of your hair. "I’m here now," he whispered, his voice filled with a soft, warm tone. “And I'm never letting you go." As he uttered those words, he leaned back and tenderly lifted your chin, his thumb caressing your bottom lip. “You look absolutely beautiful," he murmured, his voice brimming with sincerity. “I want to make sure you always feel loved and appreciated”
As he gently lifted your chin, your breath caught, and a pink blush flushed your cheeks. You were overwhelmed by a surge of emotions, and tears welled up in your eyes. “I-i never dreamed that you’d be so…” Once again, you struggled to find the right words. “You're like a prince from a fairytale,” you chuckled softly, only half joking.
Seeing the tears welling up in your eyes, Sanji's heart nearly broke, even though he knew they were tears of happiness. As he gazed at you, he couldn't help but feel his own emotions bubbling up. He gently wiped away a single tear with his thumb as it rolled down your cheek.
"I’m far from perfect," he whispered softly, his voice filled with vulnerability. "But for you, I'll try my damned hardest to be the man you deserve." While speaking, he found himself leaning in closer, bridging the gap between them and tenderly planting a sweet, affectionate kiss on your forehead. A slow smile spread across his face as he pulled back, a warm, gentle expression in his eyes. "You’ve got me wrapped around your pretty little fingers, you know that?" He chuckled softly before adding, "I’m completely and utterly smitten."
He gently raised your hand and tenderly kissed your knuckles, never breaking eye contact. The moonlight danced around the both of you while the festival lights flickered below, casting a warm glow as if the entire world was celebrating your last meeting.
"I can't wait to get to know every little thing about you,” you softly, your tone filled with admiration.
With a grin, he pulled you closer and held his cheek against your own, his eyes fluttering shut momentarily as he savoured the closeness. "You can ask me anything. I'm at your command, my dear," he spoke softly, his breath warm against your cheek. “Anything you want, I’ll answer any questions. I'll do whatever it takes to make you happy."
You gladly returned his embrace, feeling at ease in his arms. After savouring the comfort of being with him, you decided to break the silence. “Kiss me~” You breathed out softly.
A shiver of excitement ran through Sanji as he heard your soft plea. His knees almost gave out at the thought of kissing you. After a moment, he managed to compose himself. "As you wish, my love," he whispered softly, his voice filled with a mix of shyness and desire. He gently cupped your cheek with one hand and leaned in, his lips pressing against yours in a soft, tentative kiss.
As his lips met yours, Sanji felt a rush of warmth and pleasure flow through him. It was like fireworks had exploded in his brain. Your lips felt like butterflies against his, soft and delicate. He couldn't help but lean in closer, deepening the kiss. His free hand moved to the small of your back, pulling you closer as he leaned his weight into you, his body craving your warmth and presence.
He reluctantly broke the kiss, but he didn't let you go. He rested his forehead against yours, his eyes half-lidded and a soft smile on his lips. "Wow..." was all he could whisper, his voice filled with disbelief and adoration. He felt like he was floating on air; his head was dizzy with affection, and he couldn't help but brush his lips against yours once more. The taste of your lips was now burned into his brain that he committed to memory. He gently ran his free hand down your arm, his touch tender and caring, before interlacing his fingers with yours in a soft grip.
"Is it too soon to say that I'm completely and utterly in love with you?” He whispered softly, his voice filled with sincerity.
You shook your head, blushing and smiling at his words, feeling the same way. “My heart has always belonged to you.” You smiled, raising your pinky finger.
As your confession reached his ears, Sanji felt tears prick at the corners of his eyes. A soft, shaky breath escaped him as he leaned his forehead against yours, his eyes closing in contentment as he soaked in the depth of your words. A slow, gentle smile spread across his face as he pulled you into a tight embrace. His fingers tangled in your hair as he let out a shaky breath, a hint of vulnerability in his voice. "I don't think I deserve you but, I’m never letting you go,” he whispered, his voice filled with a fierce determination as he tightened his grip around you.
As he held you in his arms, he couldn't help but let out a soft, shaky laugh, his expression filled with a mixture of sadness, joy, and disbelief. "I've been living for everyone else's sake my whole life," He confessed quietly. "But right now, I want to live for you. For us. I love you, y/n"
“Sanji…” You gaze into his eyes, you can clearly see his admiration and vulnerability shining through.
Sanji's heart fluttered for what felt like the hundredth time that evening. The way you said his name, so softly, so sweetly.
“I love you too” A sweet, gentle smile lit up your face as you looked at him. When those three words escaped your mouth, Sanji felt like his heart might explode. His hand gripped your cheek as he drew you nearer, a wide smile lighting up his face.
"Say it again," he whispered, his voice filled with an almost childish excitement. "Please just let me hear you say it again." You couldn't help but chuckle softly at his excited reaction, but you were more than happy to fulfil his request. “I love you, Sanji~”
As you uttered those three enchanting words again, Sanji couldn't help but feel an overwhelming surge of happiness welling up inside his chest. He was in disbelief that this moment was actually happening, hearing those words coming from your lips. Without a moment's hesitation, he embraced you tightly and whirled you around in a swift circle, letting out a joyful laugh. As he set you down, he maintained a strong hold on you, pressing his body close to yours while running his fingers through your hair. "I'm the luckiest man in the world."
You found yourself unable to stifle a laugh as he twirled you around. “I think you think too highly of me.” You smiled, feeling at home with him. As your gentle laughter filled the air, Sanji's heart swelled even more. Your happiness was contagious, and he couldn't help but laugh along with you. He rested his chin against your head and draped his arms around you, a content sigh escaping him. "If anything, I should think higher of you," he chuckled and gave you a gentle squeeze. “I'll worship the ground you walk on, my love”
The night air was filled with a peaceful calm, the only sound being the crickets surrounding you and your steady breaths. Sanji kept hold of you, feeling the warmth of your body and the comfort of your presence. He released a deep sigh, his heart filled with contentment. "Promise me you'll stay with me," he murmured, his voice holding a touch of insecurity.
“I promise” You spoke with unwavering certainty. You had finally found him, so there was no way you were going to let him go him now. Sanji smiled softly as he heard your promise. He couldn’t help but feel relieved that you truly wanted him. For the first time in a long time, he felt truly loved and accepted. He held you close, reveling in the sensation of your body against his, which filled him with an unexplainable happiness.
“You’re perfect” He murmured softly while tenderly planting a kiss on the top of your head.

Circle of Sports Homebrew
Have been wanting to whip this up since last week's episode. I love the circle of sports. Used the circle of stars as a base, even though circle of spores is the more obvious typo lol. Enjoy!
Druid: Circle of Sports
Since the first being aspired to test their might, hone their skill, and chase the thrill of victory, the power of sports has shaped the planes.
None understand this better than the druids of the Circle of Sports, students of the Plane of Sports. These druids have balled since time immemorial, dunking with primordials and discovering lost secrets in the ancient temples of gains. By honoring sportsmanship, competition, and the purity of the big man taking the rock all the way to the points hole, the Circle of Sports pursue teamwork, self-betterment, and a dynamic universe full of excitement and challenge.
Many druids of this circle keep records of the Great Games of the world, feats of strength and sportsmanship that ring forever in the legendary Hall of Fame at the heart of the Plane of Sports. They contend these records hold the spirits of those who came before, and can serve as markers, clues, and guides to what is possible. Shrines, gyms, trophies, trading cards, or artifacts signed by heroes long passed are both defended and sought after by these sages, scoundrels, and adventurers alike. Other druids seek to place their own names in the Hall of Fame and pave the way for heroes yet to come.
Sports Trance
When you join this circle at 2nd level you form a link to the Plane of Sports that grants you proficiency in Athletics and doubles your proficiency bonus for any check made using Athletics. If you already have proficiency in Athletics you may gain proficiency in a different skill of your choice.
Additionally, you learn to ascend your consciousness to the sequestered Plane of Sports and enter a sports trance. While in this trance your body becomes a Tiny sports-related object of your choice, with resistance to all damage, that can be used as a simple melee weapon that deals 1d8 bludgeoning damage and has the finesse, light, and thrown properties (range 20/60).
While in this state you are unconscious, but can be roused as if from sleep, ending the trance. You can complete a long rest in 4 hours, if you spend those hours in this trance.
Circle Spells
The pure energy from the Plane of Sports grants you access to some spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Circle of Sports Spells table.
Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn't count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn't appear on the Druid Spell List, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.
Druid Level - Spells
2nd - Compelled Duel, Catapult
3rd - Kinetic Jaunt, Spiritual Weapon
5th - Motivational Speech, Haste
7th - Freedom of Movement, Staggering Smite
9th - Conjure Volley, Greater Restoration
Sports Form
At 2nd level, you gain the ability to harness the power of sports to alter your form. As a bonus action, you can expend a use of your Wild Shape feature to take on a sports form, rather than transforming into a beast. Changing into a sports form ends any other active Wild Shapes.
While in your sports form, your clothes take on the appearance of appropriate sports attire, and appropriate sports-themed music plays. The form lasts for 10 minutes. It ends early if you dismiss it (no action required), are incapacitated, die, or use this feature again.
Whenever you assume your sports form, choose which of the following styles you embody; your choice gives you certain benefits while in the form:
Fastball. A series of sports-themed balls and projectiles appear in orbit around you. When you activate this style, and as a bonus action on your subsequent turns while it lasts, you can make a ranged spell attack, hurling a ball or other projectile that targets one creature within 60 feet of you. On a hit, the attack deals bludgeoning damage equal to 1d8 + your Wisdom modifier.
Nike. An incredible set of appropriate sports footwear appears on your feet. While in this style your walking speed increases by 15 feet. You gain a swimming and climbing speed of 30 feet. If you already have a swim and climb speed, you can instead increase that speed by 15 feet. When you jump, you may add twice your proficiency bonus in feet to the distance in any direction.
Roughhouse. Your muscles bulge and glisten as if oiled. In this style you can add your Wisdom bonus to Strength checks, Strength saving throws, and Constitution saving throws to maintain concentration. In this form you can make a grapple or shove attack as a bonus action.
Rally the Team
When you reach 6th level, you learn to channel the power of sports to your allies. As a bonus action, all creatures you choose within 30 feet may either gain 1d8 temporary hit points or immediately roll a save to end any continuous negative effect that could normally be negated with a successful saving throw. They must be able to hear or see you to gain this benefit.
You cannot use this ability again until you finish a short rest.
Welcome to the Jam
At 10th level, the styles of your Sports Form improve. The 1d8 of Fastball becomes 2d8. While Nike is active all opportunity attacks have disadvantage against you. While Roughhouse is active you can grapple or push creatures of any size without penalty.
Moreover, at the start of each of your turns while in your Sports Form, you can change which style you embody.
Hall of Fame
At 14th level, your connection to the plane of sports has become something of legend. While in your Sports Form, this legacy grants you a kind of immortality, giving you resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.

~~~
The sound of rain crashing down did little to dull the sound of your beating heart. It echoed in your ears to the point where you thought it’d explode! The way you struggled to get air in your lungs didn’t help either. They burned along with your body as you ran as fast as you could through the trees.
The rain still hit you despite the leaves that protected you overhead. Your clothes clung to your body tight enough to the point it made it difficult to run. You lost your socks to the mud long ago, so now you were pushing through the slimy ground as fast as you could. The feeling of it against your feet made you cringe. But you’d rather deal with it than go back to the hell that you just escaped from.
About a year ago, you were abducted from your hometown in broad daylight by the most feared New Gen pirates in the South Blue, the Kidd Pirates. Everyone from your town knew who they were. No shop owners denied them service, and everyone waited on their beck and call. Despite that, they still plundered and burned down anything they wanted to. Nothing was safe.
You remember the first day you saw them. You were walking home from the grocery store when you heard the mayor pleading. Biting your lip, you look around the corner of a building, trying to get a sense of what was happening. There you saw it, your mayor on his knees begging a group of people to leave your town alone. Squinting your eyes, you try to see better, only to let out a gasp of shock and fear.
“No way…” You couldn’t believe what you were seeing. The seemingly whole crew of the infamous Kidd Pirates. Their captain, Eustass Kidd, stood in front of your begging mayor with a sick grin on his face.
“Too bad, old man! Now, you either give me all the treasures in this shit town, or you'll see its ashes fall from the sky!” The air seemed to go cold as you felt frozen. You wanted to run away and warn your community, but something made you stay.
“But! The people need that for-” The mayor went flying backward from a kick that the pirate sent his way.
“Wrong answer, old fool! Burn it down and take everything! Leave no stone unturned!” The rest of the pirates went their separate ways and followed their captain's commands. Your whole body shook as you moved your gaze back to the captain. A choking feeling took over you when you saw his amber eyes staring right into yours. Even from where you stood, you could hear him laughing as your eyes never left his.
You finally manage to pull out of your frozen trance when you watch him starting to move in your direction. Dropping your groceries, you start to run away as fast as you could. You look all around, trying to find the best routes to lose him, but his eyes haunt you no matter where you look.
The sound of your footsteps rang in your ears as you felt your heart kicking into overdrive. What could he possibly want from you? Would he kill you? Use you as some sort of ransom? All you knew was that you had to outrun him!
Suddenly, your jerked to a stop. You feel yourself slowly moving backward. Looking down, you see the bracelet that your fiance gave you, slowly pulling you back to where you just ran from. You try to take it off but are once again jerked back even harder, and your whole body feels like it’s flying backward from how hard you were pulled back.
“Where do you think you're going, huh?” A strong hand grabbed your wrist as your back collided with the man you had just tried to run away from. You could only look up in horror as his smile sent chills down your spine.
“Y-Your Eustass Kidd…” Your voice shakes, as well as your body.
“Damn right, I am. What? You afraid?” His laugh only fueled your fear more. Here you were, stuck in a madman's grip with no way of knowing what his plans for you were.
“Please! Just let me go! I-I’ll give you all the money I have. Just please let me go!” You try to pry his hand off your wrist, but inside, you know it is pointless. It seemed your pathetic attempt amused him.
“Now, why would I let something I caught far and square go?” He pulled your hand closer to look at the bracelet that adorned your wrist.
“Your shitty stainless steel bracelet betrayed you, princess.”
“My fiance worked hard to make it for me!-”
“Don’t make me laugh! This is the shittest piece of jewelry I’ve ever seen!” You see him grab your bracelet and watch in horror as it contorts itself off your wrist. It falls into his hands as he looks at it closer.
“Give it back!” You try to grab it, but he lifts it up and away from your grasp.
“It ain’t even pure stainless steel. Pathetic. Not even detailed, just a circle of metal.” Your mouth drops open when you see the bracelet crunch into a ball the size of a bullet.
“Repel.” What used to be your bracelet shoots away from his hand and into a store window. You feel tears rim your eyes at his chuckles.
“Now, c’mon. You're coming with me.” Once again, you try to pry off his grip, but it doesn’t budge an inch.
“Don’t make this harder than it has to be, princess. I’m not a very patient person.” You were about to say something in retaliation, but the sound of your fiance yelling made you turn your head.
“(Y/N)! Get your hands off her, you filthy pirate!” Your heart drops to your stomach when you see your fiance standing 30 feet away from you. Moving your gaze from your fiance to Kidd was a mistake, as you felt your blood run cold. The cocky grin was no longer there, instead, a furious one replaced it.
“This is that pathetic fiance? Ugh, I don’t have time to deal with you. I’ve got to take this treasure I found back to the ship-”
“(Y/N)’s not going anywhere with you! Let her go, pirate!” A murderous look sparked in Kidd’s eyes as he looked at your fiance, who dared tell him what to do. A bad feeling filled your gut as you turned to your fiance.
“Run (....)! He’s going to kill you!” You try to scream out to them as loud as you could. The hand that once gripped your wrist wrapped itself around your torso and pulled you into Kidd’s chest. Your arms trapped under his arm as you struggle to even move.
“Killer!” The sound of running footsteps echoes as they grow closer to you.
“Yeah, Kidd?” A man in a striped blue and white mask appears next to you. His stature much different from the one holding you hostage.
“I need to make an example out of them, kill them. Little shit thinks they can tell me what I can and can’t do.” You stare at the masked man in horror as he seemingly stares back at you.
“Who’s she?”
“My new plaything. Cutie, ain’t she?” Kidd’s chest rumbles with small laughter as he holds you tighter. The man who you assume is Killer, simply nodded before two massive blades come into your view. Your throat goes dry as you see him rush towards your fiance, who looks petrified.
“No! Leave them alone!-”
“Alright, let's go.” You were turned around just before you heard the wails of your fiance. Tears started to slip down your cheeks as the love of your life was brutally slain right behind you. Your mind runs with horrific images of what could have possibly happened. All you did was look at the ground and watch as each pebble left your sight as Kidd walked forward. You wanted to scream, kick, punch, just anything to hurt him, but your body was immobile from the sheer shock of how fast your life was crashing down in front of you.
“What a pretty sight, don’t you think?” Biting your lip, you move your head up slowly to see what could possibly make him so happy. As soon as you lifted your head, you felt your mouth drop open at the sight.
The buildings that you’ve known your entire life were set ablaze. The heat it gave off was insufferable as Kidd walked through it without a care. Sounds of wood collapsing and flames flickering rang from all directions. All your childhood memories erased and replaced with an ongoing hell before your eyes. The urge to vomit was immense, but you held back, not wanting to show any more weakness than you already have.
The trek from the town to the ship felt like hours, yet when you did reach the ship, it was like one you’d never seen. You couldn’t keep your eyes off it. If it didn’t belong to the man who took away all that you loved dear just moments ago, you would have applauded for its uniqueness. The only thing that deserves the fate that your home was subject to is the ship in front of you.
Your heart beat against your ribs at the sound of wood creaking under Kidd’s feet. You bit your lip in worry, not knowing where he was taking you. While he dragged you to the deep parts of his ship, you tried memorizing anything you could. The only thing you could really focus on, though, was the sickening smile that he wore.
He stopped at a door in the furthest part of the ship. Your body shook as he opened the door to show what's inside. Crates filled most of the room, but there was a small window that barely let any light inside the room. When your eyes landed on a set of chains, you knew that you couldn’t let him put those on you. If he got them on, there was no way to get them off!
“No! Let me go!” You try to desperately wiggle out, but a quick crushing hold from Kidd had the wind knocked from your lungs. The sounds of chains jiggling blocked from your mind as you try to regain the air that was abruptly squeezed out of you. It was only when you felt the cold metal attacking your ankle and your body crashing to the ground is when you were dragged back to the present.
“There we go.” You didn’t dare look up. Your only thought was to pry off the chain, even though you knew that it was wishful thinking. Tears pour down your face once more at the fear of what would happen to you. You could feel your nails digging into the skin of your ankle as you tried to rip it off.
You feel Kidd grabbing both your wrists with one hand before using the other one to grab your face. He moves your head so he can look at your tear filled face. He moved his smiling face closer to yours to where there must have been only 2 inches away from yours. You see him stick his tongue out before you feel the slimy muscle run up your cheek, licking your tears away. You felt bile rise in your throat as he did the same to your other cheek, his saliva coating your skin. Through your blurry vision, you can see him licking his lips.
“You look so hot with tears running down your face, princess. Just the sight alone is enough for me to want to shove my cock down your throat just to see more of your pretty tears.” His crude words made you shut your eyes in embarrassment as you tried to turn your head away, yet to no avail. You can feel his head move to the point where you feel his breath against your ear.
“I’ll be back. Don’t wanna miss out on all the fun. Gotta make sure everything burns. I’m sure you understand.” His laughter rang in your ear as he let go of your face and wrists. The noise echoed in the small room. Making it sound like the devil himself was laughing at you. The man in front of you might as well be.
The small light that the door gave you soon snuffed out as Kidd closed the door. The sound of it locking on the other side made the darkness surrounding you more menacing. From the small window that gave you as much light as a lighter, you could see the sun setting and the small burnt debris from your home falling from the sky.
~~~
The feeling of the ship rocking made your stomach curdle. You’ve never been on one before, and now you were at the very bottom of one? The window that was your only source of light was just barely above the water. On rainy days, light was practically a wish. You were caved in total darkness. The only thing that soothed you to sleep was the sound of the rain. You just tried to imagine you were back home and lying down on your bed, waiting for your fiance to join you.
The ‘bed’ you got to sleep on was just tons of blankets lying on top of one another. You had to use a blanket as a pillow as well. It didn’t help that it was freezing. Hypothermia was basically knocking on your door every night. Sometimes you could even see your own breath.
The chain around your ankle didn’t help either. It felt like freezing needles were stabbing into your skin constantly. Sometimes you thought that it might just freeze your foot off.
Suddenly, you hear the telltale signs that Kidd was approaching your door. You’ve memorized the patterns of everyone's footsteps that had come in and out of your room. Which was basically just Kidd and his little kiss-ass friend Killer.
You could hear the lock unlocking, and soon the bright light from the outside filled your room. Gritting your teeth, you pretend to be asleep under the blankets. Maybe he might just leave.
“I know your awake, princess.” You move your head just so you could barely catch a glimpse of him. Despite the fact you were shooting him daggers with your eyes, he simply laughed at you. He held a lantern light before shutting the door and making it semi-dark again. Your heartbeat doubles as you see his smile as he walks towards you.
“No, hello, aye?” He set down the lantern on a crate before sitting down just above your head. It was quiet for a second before you felt him grip your hair and harshly tug so you’d look at him. The stinging made your eyes water as you looked at him.
“You better start talking, I wanna hear your voice, princess.” You see him pull out a sharp blade from his pocket. Knowing he was a man who never made empty threats, you gave in.
“H-Hello Eustass.” Your voice barely a whisper as you look at him in his amber eyes.
“There we go. That wasn’t so hard, was it?” You dig your nails into the blankets as you try to imagine yourself anywhere but here. His laughter rang in your ears before you felt him lock his lips with yours.
He was rough, and he kept your hair tightly between your fingers. You didn’t reciprocate the kiss, which made him let out a growl. His grip grew tighter, and you soon felt the cold metal of a blade press up against the skin of your neck.
You could feel your eyes widen and your heart stop at the sensation. You couldn’t escape him if you were dead. Despite wanting to spit in his face, you did what he wanted. While he didn’t move the knife, you felt him smile against your lips.
He was pushy with his kisses, seemingly trying to steal your air. You did your best to try and keep up so he wouldn’t hurt you, but he was just not giving you any time. He bit your lip hard, which made you yelp out in pain. He took advantage and shoved his tongue down your throat. The taste of sake filled your mouth as he explored every inch of your mouth.
Tears soon dripped from your eyes, no matter how hard you tried to keep them in. Kidd saw this and groaned into your mouth at the sight. You hated this sick bastard and how he got off to you crying from pain and fear.
He soon pulled away, and a trail of saliva connected both of your lips. Air finally expanded your lungs after being cut off for so long. You cough for a few seconds before looking back up at Kidd. The knife was still held against your throat, and his grip on your hair tight.
“Your still so bratty. I wonder how long it’s going to take to break you. Break you so you cry and beg for my cock the moment you see me. Begging me to use you like a toy. My dicks hard just thinking about it.” The hand holding the knife left, and you could see him put it down. A sigh of relief left you before you felt him grab your hand. He gave you a gut-wrenching smile before moving your hand to the waistband of his pants. Your eyes widen, and your heart stops at the action.
“Gonna show you just how hard you make me princess. And maybe if your good, you’ll get a reward…” He pushes your hand down his pants you hear him let out a shaky breath. You can feel the tips of your fingers touching the base of his cock. The simple feeling made you vomit in your mouth. You hear Kidd laugh as he looks down at you. He puts his face close to yours once more, and you can see the crazed look in his eyes.
“...And if you're bad, you can say goodbye to ever leaving this room.”
~~~
Your ankle still burns from being shackled for so long. It was so tight against your foot that sometimes you still think it's on. It has been off for a while, but the scar from it scrapping against your skin was still fresh. It’d no doubt stay there forever, even if you do apply scar cream. The scar would always be a reminder of what you went through and what you lost.
By now, the rain had mixed with your tears as your hair stuck to your face. Your body overworked itself as it ignored every fall in the mud, every rock or stick stepped on, and the overwhelming fear that the man you’ve been stuck with will catch you. After working so hard to be able to escape, you weren’t gonna go down now.
Still, you feared that he might find you. You had left footprints in the mud as you ran into the woods. What if he saw them? Could the rain possibly have washed them away? Your mind simply ran rampant as thoughts seemed to come and go.
Especially the thought of how you were going to get the thick metal collar that adorned your neck off. It also rubbed against your skin to the point where it would also leave a scar. The rubbed raw skin burned whenever the cold metal hit against it. The cold rain barely soothed the pain. You didn’t see how that crazy bastard thought that it was a reward for good behavior.
Once again, you felt your body freezing up. It had been getting colder, and you still had the same blankets you did when you were first thrown into this hell hole. Your hair was still slightly damp from the shower earlier, and it didn’t make you warmer either. You could hear laughter and cheers coming from the floor above you.
‘Sounds like they're celebrating another successful raid. Gross.’ You could only think to yourself as the sounds grew louder and louder. How the hell were you supposed to sleep when they're practically screaming?
Just then, you could hear Kidd’s footsteps approaching the door. You take a deep breathe before getting ready to deal with your kidnapper once again. What could he want at this hour though? First his crew is partying late into the night and now he’s coming down to bother you?
“Wake up, princess. I got you a present.” You could practically hear his sadistic smile from the other side of the door. The door unlocked, and you could see his outline. His shadow filled the small room. In his hand seemed to be a thick metal collar. A sinking feeling rose in your gut. What could he possibly want for making you wear that?
“What's that?” Your voice filled with venom despite trying to sound calm. You glared at the collar, hoping that it might explode.
“Well since you’ve been such a good girl, I think you can take a break from the chains.” Your eyebrows raise in suspicion at his words.
“But you have to wear this.” He held up said metal collar with a smirk.
“If you even try to run, I can just drag you back to me. Of course, you wouldn’t get far, but if you do try anything, your going back down here. In the dark.” You run your options in your head. Even if it’s for a while, getting out of this room might save some of your dwindling sanity. At the same time, you’ll be stuck with him for even longer in the day.
“...Okay.” When the shackle fell from your ankle you swore you could feel a smile grace your lips. The raw skin finally free from the constant rubbing on the shackle. The smile was short lived though, cause just as soon as that piece of metal left, the metal collar wrapped around your throat. It was much lighter than you thought but it was still thick. Kidd grabbed your chin and made you face him.
“You look so much more pretty with that around your neck. Now, I can take you places. Doesn’t that sound fun, princess?” He laughed in your face before grabbing you and throwing you over his shoulder. You yelp in surprise at the sudden action as Kidd makes his way out of the small room.
While he locked the door, you took in your surroundings. You haven’t seen the outside of the room since you were originally put in there. Kidd always just came to you, so you forgot what outside the room looked like. That or Killer would blindfold you and take you to the showers before bringing you back.
“Where are we going?” Your voice sounded like a whisper compared to the loud roars of laughter coming from the crew. Kidd didn’t answer you regardless, which only made you frown. You tried to commit every floorboard and hallway to memory as he took you to another room. It didn’t take long, but it felt like an eternity in your fear.
When he opened the door to the other room, it was much bigger than the one you had just left. It had an actual bed, and clothes strayed all across the floor. Tiny metal trinkets scattered across shelves and a dresser.
‘Must be his bedroom…’ The door locked as soon as you were inside. Before you could say anything, Kidd dropped you onto the bed.
“Get comfy 'cause you're sleeping here tonight.” You didn’t say anything, only scooting closer to the top of the bed. You were already in your pajamas, the warmest ones that Kidd had bought you. Well, more likely stole, but whatever. All your clothes were picked out by him, and you hated it. They all showed too much skin to your liking, and the pajamas weren’t any better. The warmest one was a T-shirt and fleece pajama shorts. Obviously not something that would create much heat.
You threw the blankets over you and laid down on the bed, trying to avoid looking at your captor. The metal collar made it slightly uncomfortable, but you could still sleep with it on, no doubt.
The feeling of the bed dipping down behind you made your breath hitch as you felt the covers move as well. A strong hand grabs your waist and pulls you closer towards the middle of the bed. A warm body was pressed against your back, and the smell of oil hit your nostrils. Another arm slithers under your body, and now you're totally trapped against his chest.
“You smell so nice, princess. I could just eat you.” Kidd laughs as he lays his head between your head and shoulder. The metal collar against his face couldn’t be comfortable, but he didn’t say anything.
“Thank you…?” Despite the urge to ignore him, you don’t. You didn’t wanna freeze and maybe this could be used to your advantage. A way to escape!
You feel his lips kiss the exposed skin of your neck that the collar didn’t cover before feeling his lipstick run against your neck when he begins nibbling on the sensitive skin. You can feel him smiling, and the way his breath fanned your neck made goosebumps ghost your skin.
A rough, calloused hand soon grabs the fat of your thigh before rubbing a circle on it with his thumb. The feeling of his hands holding you never failed to make you frown. You grit your teeth when you hear Kidd laugh against your skin.
“Now that you're going to be out in public with me. I need the world to know who you belong to.” You can feel your throat going dry at the implications of his words and actions. Closing your eyes, you did your best to try imagining yourself home and in bed with your fiance.
He seemed to pick up that you were imagining you were anywhere else but here cause you soon felt his teeth dig into your skin harshly. You let out a cry from the pain and dig your nails into the bed sheets. Biting your lip, you try to ignore the throbbing the bite brought.
The hand that wasn’t rubbing on your thigh moved under your shirt. Your heart beat rapidly the closer he got to your breasts. His cold hands felt like ice cubes running against your skin. Words of hatred rose in your throat as you tried to hold down the venom that bubbled inside you.
“A-Aren’t you tired from raiding? Maybe we should get some sleep, huh?” You tried to deter him from continuing his selfish desires. A soft ‘hmm’ came from his throat but was soon replaced with laughter.
“I think I’ll sleep better after fucking you on my cock. Plus, I’ve been thinking about fucking you stupid all day, princess.” Your heart dropped to your stomach at his confession. Every inch of your body went rigid when you felt his hand palm your breast.
The hand that rubbed circles on your thigh soon moved up and played with the waistband of your shorts. Tears started streaming down your face at the feeling of his cold fingers dipping beneath the layers of clothes.
~~~
You hated the way his room smelled. Oil and sweat seemingly infused with every object. Did he ever wash his clothes? It was to the point where you would have washed them with! The stench was unbearable!
Yet, you would still rather be here in a warm room than the freezing hell that was your old room. At least here, there was a thick comforter. Even though there was a bed that was much more comfortable than the floor, you'd rather lay on the ground than lay in a bed where you felt like your life was worth nothing.
“God fucking damnit! Those fucking marines keep getting in my way!” All the blood in your body ran cold, hearing Kidd scream in rage. He was a whole other evil when his rage took over. Unfortunately, it was more often than you’d like. When he got like this, it felt like he viewed you as an enemy. You remember when he grabbed your arm before throwing you to the ground after accusing you of laughing at his failure.
Or the time when he kicked you in the stomach so hard that you threw up.
The bedroom door slammed open before Kidd slammed it shut again. You didn’t say anything, only looking at him to see his next move. He had some blood on his face that only made his rage more horrifying.
“Fuck!” Grabbing a metal trinket, he threw it at his door. The impact was strong enough for it to get stuck in the door. You dug your nails into your palms as you looked at the door. There were already marks from when he’d throw knives at the door in anger. You swallowed the lump that seemed to get caught in your throat as you hesitantly turned your gaze toward Kidd.
“What the fuck are you staring at?!” Your heart froze as you hear him stomping towards you. A spurt of adrenaline kicked inside you as you tried moving backward away from him. It only served to make him madder cause he grabbed you by your foot and pulled you towards him.
“I said, what the fuck are you staring at?!” His hand grabbed the exposed part of your neck before squeezing. You tried kicking him, but he only lifted you up in the air. Tears rimmed your eyes as you try clawing at his hand, which only served to piss him off more.
“Your happy, aren’t you?! You think that marines are gonna catch me and you’ll be free?! Is that it?!” You tried shaking your head, but his grip was too strong.
“I-I can’t….breathe… Kidd please…” Through your blurry vision, you can see the same amber eyes that haunted your nightmares. Even when your vision started to go black, you could see his eyes glowing.
“Stupid bitch!” You feel your body getting thrown and the grip on your neck gone. Yet not soon after, you feel your body colliding with the wall before falling on the floor. You could hear a crack ringing in your ears when your head hit the floor.
Every inch of your body burned, and the slightest movement only doubled that. When you tried to open your eyes, your vision was blurry, and you could feel something cascading down your forehead. You couldn’t move your head, so all you saw was the dirty floor of the bedroom.
It sounded like Kidd was trying to say something, but it was all just white noise. All you could hear was the ringing in your head and the feeling of your head throbbing. You feel your forehead is covered in something, but everything just seems like a blur.
Kidd’s boots soon came into your sight as he kneeled down next to you. You feel his fingers glide through your hair before taking a fistful and lifting you up to face him. A searing pain vibrated through your body as you let out a pained cry. You try to move, but your body feels too bruised to even move in the slightest.
“Fucking pathetic! Why do I even keep you around when you're so fucking useless?!” Despite your blurry vision, his eyes managed to pierce through the blur. You try to talk, but nothing comes out, not even whimpers.
“Hey! I’m talking to you! Don’t fucking ignore me!” The grip on your hair was replaced by him grabbing your face so you’d look at him. All you saw was a red blur with eyes glaring at you. All your strength disappeared, and you could feel yourself grow limp.
A deep urge to sleep soon took a toll as you felt your eyelids growing heavy. It felt like rocks were dragging them down, and no matter how hard you tried to keep them open. Even though you could feel yourself being shaken, you simply ignored the sensation. With a last flutter of your eyes, a black void soon swallowed
You remember Killer telling you that you were out cold for a few days and what actually happened to you. Well, more like you had to hit it out of him. Kidd must have told him not to tell you, but in the end, you managed to get the truth after hitting him repeatedly and threatening to throw things at him.
What he told you was that your body hit the ground hard enough for your skull to have a small fracture.
It did manage to heal relatively well and at the predicted healing rate, but that didn’t mean anything to you. It wouldn’t have happened if Kidd didn’t use you as a personal punching bag. You remember the look in his eyes when he lifted you in the air and had his hand wrapped around your throat. It’s a look that still plagues your nightmares even to this day. You’re still fully convinced that he planned to kill you that day, but something stopped him.
Those events only encouraged you to run as fast as your feet could carry you.
The rain made it hard to stay on your feet even though you tried your hardest. There were times when your foot would slip, and you’d go crashing into the mud. It felt disgusting to have your body coated in seemingly cold slime. Your clothes were definitely done with after you found a place to safely hide and to get rid of them.
If you were to look at yourself in a mirror right now, you’d probably look like a mudslide victim. The feeling of mud getting under your collar and rubbing against the raw skin burned like hell. You prayed that it wouldn’t get infected.
~~~
He was acting more loving than normal. It was…unnerving.
Something must have changed inside of Kidd after he threw you against the wall. Because instead of just him using you for his own pleasure and using you as a punching bag whenever he got angry, he started acting like you actually meant something to him. Acting like he loved you.
The thought made you sick. It had to be some sick game he was playing.
Yet, here he was now, laying on your chest, giving you praises. Telling you that your such a good girl. That he chose the right one to have by his side. How you were so beautiful and that you made him so happy.
He was acting vulnerable.
“I love you princess…” He buried his head in your chest. You knew he wanted to hear you say the same thing, but there was no way you were ever telling him that. Even if he gave you all the treasure in the world, you’d never say it. So all you did was run your fingers through his unkempt hair, thinking of questions to ask him, to try distracting him.
“How was the recent raid?”
“You should have seen how high the fires were. High enough to touch the clouds! Even those stupid marines couldn’t put out the flames!” His laughter made your heart constrict. You knew he was merciless when it came to his raids, but it simply reminded you of the horror that happened to your own town. You felt stupid for asking even though you should have known the answer.
“Was…the treasure good?”
“Not even worth a cent. They tried fighting us on it, so we had to teach them a lesson.” You let out a ‘hmm’ as you frown. A sudden weight was lifted off your chest as you saw him lifting his body up off yours. You weren’t complaining, but you wondered what was going on in that crazy head of his.
The bed dipped on the side of you, and you felt Kidd grab you and pull you close to him. Your face was pressed against his chest, and your head was under his. The feeling of his lips kissing the top of your head only served to frown more.
“Killer was asking me the other day when I plan on letting you go…” You could feel your eyes widen at his words. You haven’t begged him to let you go since you got the collar. Ever since you got the collar, you’ve just been plotting to get his trust and finding a way out. Maybe he figured out your plan? Yet surely, he will get rid of you someday, right? One day he’d get bored of you.
“...And I told him never.”
~~~
It felt like you’ve been running forever. You fear your body is giving up on you with how much slower you’ve been running. The thought that you might collapse soon without being in a safe place scared you cause what if he found you? You’d never see the light of day again.
Thankfully, you were out of the mostly dirt part of the forest. By now, there was actual grass, and you could see light in front of you. Tempting you, encouraging you to come closer, that your almost there.
You picked up the pace, even though your body burned. Telling you that you couldn’t take it anymore. Yet you ignored the pain.
You could see through the cloudy light that something colorful was up ahead. It wasn’t like any of the colors that the Victoria Punk wore. Instead, they seemed more lively. More friendly. Still, looks could be deceiving. Although, you would take anything over the ship you’ve been stuck on for the past year.
When your feet hit the sandy beaches, you feel yourself crying even harder. Instead of fear, it was hope. You took a look at the ship, and once again, you’ve never seen such a unique ship. It was the complete opposite of the Victoria Punk. Instead of a skull, it had a cute little lion. It seemed just as big as the Victoria, if not maybe a bit bigger. Then again, you’ve only seen the outside twice.
The ship was out a bit, but it looked like it was still in shallow water. The anchor was down, so it looked like they weren’t moving anytime soon. That would give you enough time to swim over and scale up the side of the ship. If you could run along mud, sharp sticks, and rocks, you could definitely scale a boat.
The water was cold when you first entered it. It made you shiver harshly, but you pushed through it. The salty water managed to clean off some of the mud that had stuck to your clothes. It felt refreshing when you dipped your head underwater for a second so you could feel the dirt on your face wash away too.
When you did reach the ship, your feet still touched the ground, thankfully. It wasn’t that deep to your luck. There were windows you could grab onto, but they were higher up than you could confidently grab. The only thing that would give you leverage was the barnacles that stuck to the lower side of the ship. You go to grab one, and only then did you feel how sharp they were. Biting your lip, you take a deep breath before actively grabbing onto the barnacles.
Climbing the first few feet seemed torturous. You could feel them dig deep into your skin. They did end up leaving cuts that had you bleeding, but you were so close now, you weren’t gonna give up now.
When you managed to grab the window and get a good grip, you let out a sigh of relief. With shaky arms, you pull yourself up. You swing your leg over the wall of the ship, and when you feel your feet touch the grass of the ship-
Grass?
Looking down, you see healthy green grass all across the deck. You can feel the grass brush against your feet. The small cuts on the bottom of your feet from the barnacles left small patches of blood on the grass. You’d have to look down on the grass for a few seconds if you wanted to see it. Maybe the rain will wash it away. You’d hate to bleed all over the boat of the people who would be your saviors.
Suddenly, You hear voices in the distance. Fear fills your being as you quickly look around to find someplace to hide. Your gut told you to go up the stairs to the first door, so you quickly did. Trying not to make as much noise as possible. Who the voices belonged to, you didn’t know. But you weren’t gonna take the chance that it was Kidd and his goons.
When you entered the room, you saw it was a kitchen. Your eyes scanned across the room to find a better hiding spot in said kitchen. A cabinet under the sink caught your eye, and you quickly tried to hide under it. But when you were about to close the door, you saw your bloody footprints leading right to where you were. You tried to wipe all the bloody footprints you could reach, but when you heard the sound of the treading through water and a ramp dropping, you quickly ducked inside your hiding spot.
You finally had time to think after you closed the small door. Thoughts of your escape through the forest, thoughts of the hell you experienced, and the thoughts of the man that let you free.
“I’m putting you in charge of her, alright? If I see a single scratch on her, I’ll have your head on a stick!” The man holding the chain that your collar was connected only nodded at Kidd.
“I’d come with your princess, but we need supplies. Plus, you’ve been a good girl. I know by now you won’t run away, right?”
“I won’t run at all. I can’t wait to see you later.” You sent a forceful smile his way, and he sent his smug one back. He turned around and started walking towards the ship where other crew mates were. Only when he left your sight is when your heart calmed down.
It was humiliating. Being chained up like this in public. You would’ve rather crawled in a hole and die then deal with the constant eyes staring at you. Nothing in this town made it worth the stares.
This town was known for having some of the best sweets, and Kidd thought that after so long of you not making a fuss or trying anything, that you were trustworthy enough to go out of the ship. Of course, he still had someone go with you. Just in case someone were to take you away from him.
“Is there someplace you want to go?” The man next to you finally cut the silence. You look up at him, and you notice that you’ve never met him. He was on your right side, and he looked almost just as tall as Kidd. His hair was much longer, and he had what you guessed to be tattoos all across his arms and some on his face. His voice was much calmer than Kidd’s, and it was a definitely needed breath of fresh air.
“Can we just walk?” He nodded, and you both started walking in the direction of the town. Hopefully, you’ll never come to this island again after this.
“What's your name?” The least that he could do is tell you his name so you at least know who’s dragging you around like a dog.
“Heat. Yours?”
“(Y/N). I guess Kidd doesn’t talk about me. ”
“Have you been on the ship this whole time? I haven’t seen you at all.”
“I’ve just been stuck below deck in the smallest room for about 6 months before Kidd decided that I’d been good enough to be locked up in his bedroom.” Your voice felt light as you try to explain.
“So, was it you he was yelling at and not him just talking to himself? And this collar thing isn’t some twisted kink I got roped into?” Disbelief dripped from his words, and all you could do was nod as you looked forward. You didn’t want him to see you tearing up.
“Yeah, it was me he was screaming at. He used to get really violent with me before my skull cracked. After that, he hasn’t done anything violent towards me. The collar thing is just a way to show ownership and that he can have control over me.”
“How long have you been… stuck on the ship?”
“Rough guess would be a little over a year maybe? I lost track of the date so I don’t know what month, day or year it is. Hard to keep track in the dark.”
“I see.” A small silence hovered over the two of you as the both of you walked around town. You mostly looked at the ground but every once in a while, you'd look at the man next to you. He always seemed to be deep in thought. You were curious as to what could be going on in his head but you just minded your own. This was your first time in the sun in so long, and you just wanted to soak it up as much as you could before you were stuck in the dark again.
The two of you turn a corner which leads you to the back alley of the town. On the other side of you was a forest that seemed so calm. It made you sad, so you tried to ignore it and go back into the sun, but of course, with your luck, you see the sun getting blocked by obvious rain clouds. You let out a few swears before continuing to walk, only to be stopped when you see Heat stopping in his tracks. Turning around, you give him a questioning look.
“Come here.” Your heart beat rapidly at his request. Did you do something wrong? Was he gonna tell Kidd something? In fear of the following, you just did what he said and looked up at him. You see his hand move to the side of your collar, and you hear the sound of the chain unhooking, making your eyes widen.
Your hands immediately go to feel around your neck. The collar was still there, but the chain that was once hooked to you was gone.
“Run. I don’t wanna see you back on the ship, do you understand?” Tears started pouring down your cheeks, and all you could do was look up at the man before wrapping him in a crushing hold.
“Thank you…thank you so much.” Your voice was barely a whisper before you took off into the forest. With your heart beating louder than ever, the sound of crunching leaves never registered. You move your gaze back to Heat for a second, and you see him standing in the same place you left him. Looking at the tree line before throwing the chain in the garbage and walking back towards the way you came.
You didn’t know what would happen to him when Kidd saw you were gone, but you only hoped that the man who saved you would be spared.
With that thought heavy in your mind, you made sure that you weren’t gonna let his sacrifice be in vain.
Your mind was pulled out from your memories when you heard footsteps coming up the stairs, even through the rain. It felt like your heart jumped out of your chest when you heard the door to the kitchen open. You could feel your breath hitch.
“Sanji wouldn’t mind if I got a snack-AHHHHH!” The voice of what you assumed to be on the younger variety let out a wail after entering the kitchen. They must have seen the bloody footprints. They weren’t really hard to miss in the first place, then again.
“What the hell are you screaming about?” A deeper male voice rang through the kitchen, and that only made you cover your mouth, praying they didn’t hear your heavy breathing. More footsteps run up, and they slowly enter the kitchen.
“Is that blood?!”
“Why is there blood in my kitchen?!”
“It leads to that cabinet.” The monotone voice of a woman strikes fear inside you. Why did they have to find you so fast? How could you have been so unlucky?
The sound of footsteps coming closer to the small door made tears fall down your eyes. They weren’t even out to sea yet and they found you. Stupid barnacles and their sharp points.
You feel your body freeze when your met with the face of a woman with beautiful blue eyes. Her blank face only made you cry harder.
“It's a woman. It seems both her hands and feet seem to be bleeding.” You try scooting closer to the back of the cabinet even though you only moved seemingly an inch. The faces of multiple people soon come into your view, and you’ve never felt so overwhelmed since the day you were captured.
“What are you doing on my ship?!” A man with jet-black hair and a straw hat pushes his way through everyone to get closer to your face.
You try to talk but all that came out were hard sobs. The sound of your voice cracking wile crying probably sounded like a whole other language. You couldn’t even see their faces anymore as the tears made your vision to blurry.
“Luffy! It’s obvious she’s hurt and scared! Be nice to a woman in need!” A man with blond hair violently kicked the man who just yelled at you.
“We’re not gonna hurt you, your safe to come out.” From your blurry vision, you can see everyone backing up to give you room to come out. Taking a few breaths, you gently move your body out of the cabinet. You try to put your feet down to stand up, but it seems the adrenaline finally wore off. A sharp pain made you whimper and just continue sitting on the ground in the kitchen.
“I’m a doctor, so I can help you!” Wiping the tears from your eyes, you let a shaky smile spread across your face.
~~~
The sun finally came back outside after what seemed like hours of you running through it. It felt so nice to be able to stand outside with the fear of being dragged back into the dark. The crew mates of the ship were kind enough to patch you up and let you hitch a ride to the next island they were docking at.
You did tell them the basis of your story. Not all the gory details but enough. The little doctor named Chopper gave you some tips and scar cream to try and get rid of the scar on your ankle. He said he was going to look at the raw skin on your neck once you managed to get it off, which led to where you are now. Standing on the back of the ship, watching it slowly drift away from the island and waiting for the swordsman to cut it off.
“Okay, don’t move, or I’ll cut your head off.”
“That's not something you say to a woman, moss head!”
“Just cut it off and stop arguing! God, your both children!”
SHLINK
The sound of metal crashing to the ground had your legs feeling weak. For the first time in months, you finally feel like you can fully breathe. The sensation of air hitting the raw skin had your heart beating fast.
You look down at the broken metal that laid in two pieces in front of your feet. Big globs of tears fall from your face and make a puddle on the ground.
“Thank you! I cannot thank you enough!” You trap the green-haired man in a crushing hold as you repeat your thanks. Grabbing the metal scraps, you run towards the back railing, and with all your strength, you throw it off the ship. The sight of it barely making it to fall on the sandy beach let you know that after all the hell you’ve experienced, you were finally going to be okay. Soon enough, the waves would take the metal and drag it to the depths.
“Alright, everyone! We’re on our way to the Sabaody Archipelago!” All the crewmates aboard the ship celebrated the new chapter they were about to open. You couldn’t help but celebrate along, as this would also be a new chapter for you-
“(Y/N)!” Your heart stops at the sound of a familiar scream. Turning around, you see the devil himself running out of the woods. The broken collar in his hand. You feel your heart drop thinking about that if you hadn’t gotten that cut off sooner, that would have been you in his grip.
The celebration of the crewmates left your mind as you see Kidd running towards the ship your on, only to be stopped by the salty water that protected it. You were far enough to that if he tried to get in the water, he’d definitely drown for sure. But that didn’t mean you couldn’t hear him.
Gripping the railing, even from so far away, you feel his haunting eyes staring at you. Your throat seems to go dry as you see more of his goons appear from the woods. To your relief somewhat, you see Heat still alive and walking. At least your savior wasn’t hurt.
Even so, you continued to look at Kidd, and you knew he was looking at you. It felt like getting rid of a life-threatening illness and seeing him grow farther and farther into the distance. It felt like you were healing.
“You can run and hide (Y/N), but you’ll always belong to me!”
Then again, illness comes back when your least expect it.
Two kneeling men dressed in black glossy rubber, their eyes fixed on the center of the room, their minds lost in the rhythm of their mantras. "I am a good obedient rubber man. My body is for rubber. I crave to be in rubber." The words whispered through their lips, but echoed in their minds, driving them deeper into the trance. Their cocks, encased in tight rubber sheaths, throbbed in time with their hearts, straining against the confines of their bondage.
The room was dimly lit, casting an eerie glow over the array of shiny rubber toys scattered about: hoods, gloves, boots, suits, even a massive horse harness with an enormous rubber phallus. The air was thick with the scent of rubber and sweat, and the low bass of the hypnotic music vibrated through their bodies, adding to the sensory overload.
The two men, Mark and Tom, had been coming to this underground club for years, drawn by a desire they could never fully satisfy in the outside world. They longed to lose themselves in the world of rubber, to become nothing more than obedient playthings for their Master's amusement. And in this place, they found a kind of freedom, however temporary.
As they continued to chant their mantras, their arousal grew, the words becoming almost painful to speak as their cocks twitched and ached for release. They could feel their skin tingling, the boundaries between their bodies and the rubber blurring, as if they were becoming one with the inanimate objects that surrounded them. They knew that soon, their Master would choose one of them to be his plaything for the night, and they would willingly surrender their bodies to his desires.
But for now, they remained kneeling, eyes fixed, minds empty, consumed by the intoxicating power of their mantras and the forbidden passion that burned within them.
Travis Headcannons
I have a lot of ideas for the SF characters but a lot of these are things you can't really write a story about, so I'll just list my headcannons and see if people like them.
Travis is gay (duh) and has a crush on Sal. His type is "bad boys"; punks, greasers, goths, grunge guys, etc. Tattoos, piercings, dark clothing, ripped jeans, the whole shebang, and that's part of why Sal appeals to him.
He likes this kind of guy because to him, they represent a kind of freedom he can't have; they don't care about what anyone thinks and could confidently whisk him away from all his woes, or something like that. And, if they're known delinquents, he's got plausible deniability if they hit on him. "I'm not gay, this delinquent made me do things I definitely did not want to do and definitely hated!" etc etc
Maybe it's projection but to me, Travis seems like an incredibly specific kind of autistic person I've known throughout my life, where they were raised by a Christian family that refused to properly support them in any meaningful way, so I've claimed him for the autists now.
He has ARFID, mild dyspraxia and often wears a weighted vest underneath loose clothing. He likes the long-sleeved shirt and knee-length shorts combo the best. He has special interests in linguistics and plants/foraging.
The bologna was one of the only foods he could eat that didn't make him violently ill due to ARFID, and since finding out what was in it, he rarely eats meat anymore. Maybe fish, on a good day.
He's lactose intolerant, and makes almond milk at home for himself.
Being a near universally hated person, Travis doesn't have friends to hang out with. He often spends his time reading heavily or being outside by himself, since he doesn't particularly enjoy being at home. This is where his special interests come from.
Travis is a massive bookworm, and frequently speeds through novels with ease. He's also a very good writer himself, but he would never show anything he's written to anyone.
He is a classically trained pianist and has been playing piano for as long as he's been able to process what a piano is. He also plays the organ. He frequently plays both instruments for church services.
I like to think that Travis gets a job as a checker at a grocery store at some point, and saves up money to get himself his own place away from his father, but I can't decide if he should live alone or if he has a roommate.
Despite his father saying that music like this is somehow satanic or immoral, Travis really finds himself enjoying music that utilizes heavy beats and has a strong focus on rhythm and flow, such as rap and hiphop, house, trance, drum and bass, and jungle.
He kind of wishes he could be a DJ because of this, but pushes that dream aside because he knows that he has a responsibility to stop the Devourers first before he can do anything else.
Obviously he never gets that chance.
Hope these are interesting enough. I wanted to make him well-rounded with his own interests and hobbies separate from the SF gang while still remaining as true to his canon personality as I could.
Shutter Speed (Part 2)
Jack Champion x Photographer!Reader
Part 2/3
☁︎ Fluff
Summary: y/n is a photographer for the new scream promo and Jack thinks she belongs in front of the camera rather than behind.
(Y/N POV)
"Look who decided to show up!" I hear Jenna say but I am too occupied in taping marks on the floor to turn around. Leah goes over to introduce herself, welcome the late cast to the shoot and explain the plan and rules.
"You must be Y/N?" I hear my name and stand up to correct the voice. "I'm Leah, she's Y/N." Leah turns to me as I appear next to them.
“Woah…I mean Jack, I’m hi.” The boy in front of me stutters. “No! I mean Hi, I am Jack. Sorry for being late.” I hold back a small laugh and smile. “Are you sure you’re Jack? I mean the name ‘hi’ might suit you more.” I jest. “I’m Y/N, did Leah go over all the rules? Are there any questions?” My voice moves back into professional mode as we have a lot of work to do today.
(JACK'S POV)
"You totally played that off man" Mason chuckles behind me, pulling me out of the trance that this Y/N has put me in. I feel my face heating up and I can't tell if its the multitude of lights in here or her stare that burned through my heart. God snap out of it, Jack, you have to do your job today.
I watch Y/N fall into her element and do what, I can tell that, she loves. She is mesmerizing.
"Stop drooling, she may run away" I hear Jenna whisper to me and before I can defend myself, "Umm... next I need Jack Champion over here on the blue mark please" You need me? Ok say less, I joke to myself to calm my nerves. I keep my eyes on the floor to ensure I don't trip but also so that I won't turn into a blushing mess if she looks at me. God, this is the first time I've been glad these lights are this bright.
I follow her instructions, her voice is music to my ears. It's like I am under a spell. A love spell? No lets not get ahead of ourselves. Wait, she's staring at me.
"Jack? Do you wanna see one of the photos?" Leah suggests from the side of the room, trying to break the awkward silence between the two of us. "Oh sure!" I stumble over wires to stand next to her. "No, go over to Y/N, she'll show you how everything works and how the images will be edited after the shoot."
(Y/N POV)
I give Leah a panicked look before Jack turns to walk over. His curls bounce as he hops over the leg of the tripod. "Oh you are tall." I say without thinking. "Oh yeah, but so are you." He answers looking down at me. "It's probably my shoes." I laugh, "Did you wanna see the photos?" I bring up the subject to make sure I don't say anything I may regret.
"Do you enjoy being a photographer?" Jack inquires. That sets me off. I could talk for hours about photography.
"I have loved it since I was 10 and I could not imagine persuading any other career. I am constantly thinking of photo shoots whenever I leave my house. Wall of graffiti? Photo shoot idea. Aesthetic shampoo bottle? Photo shoot idea. I am constantly inspired by everything around me which means my job can be difficult when I am given a strict brief but luckily, whoever hired us, gave us full creative freedom." I wave my arms around for emphasis. But too much emphasism as I almost hit Jack. He swerves and giggles, luckily.
"Oh shit, I am so sorry." I cringe and look back to the camera screen. "It's ok, Y/N" The way he says my name makes a swarm of butterflies flutter in me. I look up into his eyes. Brown eyes used to freak me out because it is more difficult to see the pupil, but maybe I like them a bit more now. Maybe he can help me like other things too. Ew, don't get carried away or you will scare him off.
After our stares last a beat too long, Leah clears her throat and alerts the group that we will now be moving to an outside shoot. She tells them to go back to the changing rooms to get out of their costumes and into the brand we are shooting with for the second part of the day. While they leave, Leah and I start to collect the equipment we are bringing. I grab my notebook for the checklist.
"You are doing great Y/N, especially with a certain someone." Leah raises her eyebrows and winks at me. I roll my eyes and walk over to turn off some of the bigger lights.
(JACK'S POV)
As the group walks to change, I see Jenna and Mason standing by the doors. They are sharing a similar look towards me, it's kinda freaking me out. "He totally does!" "Yep, I can see it in his eyes." I roll my eyes at their odd behavior and attempt to walk past them. "Oh no Mister."
They drag me out of the studio and into the hallway. "Man, when I said charm them with your good looks, I sorta hoped you would also charm her with the rest of you." Mason starts. "Yeah, we knew you were awkward, but not this bad. I wanted to claw my eyes out!" Jenna exclaims rather loudly.
"Could you be any louder? And it wasn't that bad, and I am not flirting!" I shout in a whisper. "No one said you were flirting, except you." Jenna retorts. "We've exposed you without even trying" Mason shouts to annoy me again. "Fine, she's really beautiful and she is really passionate about her job which is kinda cute and-"
"Ok lover boy relax, you don't need to go into detail." Jenna cuts me off with a look of both disgust and happiness, so I know she is just being sarcastic. "We will help you get this girl of your dreams" Mason adds. I can't tell if this is a bad idea but I nod and walk to the changing rooms to make sure I am not late again.
When we are all re-dressed, the cast starts to follow Leah out but I look for Y/N. I see her pacing back and forth, looking rather stressed. I don't know if me going over will make it worse. But I don't have time to decide as two pairs of hands push me towards her.
"Y/N, are you ok? Have you lost something?" "Yes! My notebok. It has all my plans and lists inside. I really need it. Like right now. Is it hot in here? Or is it just me?" She panics. "Ok, you need to sit down before you faint or something goes wrong."
I reach for her hand and gently guide her to sit next to me. I scan the room for a notebook before asking her any questions. She keeps a hold of my hand and I have to pretend not to notice or I might be the one to faint. "Is it that green thing over there?"
(Y/N'S POV)
"Oh my god! Yes it is!" I jump up and grab it. When I turn around, I am again faced with Jack's chest. I look up at him and smile. I feel weirdly calm after that whole anxiety filled fiasco, maybe it's because of Jack?
"Thank you Jack, I think I would've died without this." I try to laugh. "That's ok, I think we need to go now though, I know you have quite a strict schedule for today." He responds.
Jack offers to hold some equipment to make sure I can see where I am going over the pile of objects. When we leave the building I see the other cast members grabbing or putting away stuff in their cars so I take my kit back from Jack to allow him to do the same. I walk over to Leah to let her know I found the notebook.
"I was going to come back to help you but I heard a certain someone calming you down." She says as I stand next to her. "He is definitely your type, isn't he? Tall, lanky-" I cut her off "Yes Leah you don't need to continue. I can't let a silly crush get in the way of today though. It's not even a crush! I've not even known him for five minuets! All I know is his name." I say so fast I almost run out of breath.
"Let's get going while the sun is still out." I shout to the group.
(This is the photoshoot that inspired this series so you can vision this location and photoshoot style)
(TIME SKIP + STILL Y/N POV)
We have been talking photos outside in both groups and alone. It's so sunny outside that no lights are needed, just portable reflectors. Which are big circles of materials that bounce the sun in a chosen direction. Leah and I split up for the last half an hour as we have different ideas due to the location and lighting right now. Some of the cast have moved away to film TikToks and to stand in the shade but some are continuing to model for us if they have less photos than others.
I noticed Jack had finished talking to Mason and Jenna before he started walking over to me.
"Hey Y/N! Is there any last ideas in your notebook?" He asks.
"Oh just this one." I start. "Because of the harsh sun I am are able to play around with different filters on my camera. One of my favorite makes stars in light reflections, would you try out over here?" My hands are shaking as I hand him a small square of mirrored glass.
We mess around for a while, me running back and forth to show him how to pose, how to angle the mirror to reflect light and to show him the results. After a while I am so out of breath that Jack finds it funny.
As the sun starts to go down, the cast all joins up for the last photo including Leah and I for our Instagram. We all start walking back slightly delirious due to the amount of running around some of us had been doing. Jack is walking next to me, at the back of the group, continuing one of our random conversations from earlier.
"You are really talented Y/N, I know you have probably been told that a lot today, but you really are." Jack says in a slight hushed tone. I can't control the big smile on my face. He is such a genuine human being. "Thank you for being a wonderful model." I laugh.
I notice him glance ahead at the group before slowing down and truing to me. "I don't know if i have read this situation wrong but I think you are beautiful and I get feel like we get along so well even though we haven't known each other that long and I am rambling aren't I?" He looks down at his feet and rakes a deep breath.
"I was wondering if you wanted to go out on a date with me?" He finally looks me in the eye as he says this. "Wow Jack, of course I will. I don't think someone has made me laugh this much, apart from myself obviously" I jest. We trade numbers as we catch up with the group.
After the cast all go their separate ways, Leah and I burst out into screams of happiness. "MY BEST FRIEND IS GOING ON A DATE WITH A HOT, FAMOUS PERSON WHOOOOOP" Leah shouts as we skip around the car park, arms linked.
Who wants a Part Three? It will be about pre-date, during and maybe even their reactions with friends after too?
